FAQ
FAQ
Answering all the questions you might have about the venue, wedding events & more.
WHAT TIME DOES THE CEREMONY START?
3:30 PM sharp! Try to arrive to the venue by 3 PM.
IS THERE A DRESS CODE?
Yes, we are asking everyone to wear Colorful Cocktail attire.
What does this mean? Feel free to wear your brightest and boldest colors and patterns, and refrain from neutrals (And of course, no white!).
Ladies: Dresses, jumpsuits and matching sets are encouraged!
Gentleman: Jackets and ties optional, but please wear slacks (or at least not jeans).
Please visit our Pinterest board for inspiration.
IS THERE PARKING AT THE VENUE?
Yes! Additionally, there is public parking in the area as well. If you plan on drinking, please be responsible and assign a DD or Uber to and from the venue. Rideshare is widely available on NYE!
IS THERE A ROOM BLOCK AT THE HOTEL?
The couple opted out of a room block to encourage flexibility for our guests! We highly recommend using AirBnb, VRBO or another option as holiday pricing at hotels often surge.
You are more than welcome to stay at the La Jolla Cove Hotel (the wedding venue), but we do not have a block or discount code to share.

Please see the travel page for accommodations & suggestions.
WHERE SHOULD I STAY?
There isn't a bad place to stay within San Diego County! La Jolla is very central to all wedding events and tourist attractions. Please see the Travel page for ideas and a list of AirBnbs!
ARE CHILDREN INVITED?
While we love your little ones, the wedding ceremony, reception & after party is an adult-only event. Any children attending must be specifically named on the invitation.

SHOULD YOU REQUIRE CHILD CARE TO ATTEND THE WEDDING, WE ARE HAPPY TO PROVIDE RECOMMENDATIONS OF LOCAL NANNIES AND BABYSITTERS.

We realize leaving your children during the holidays is difficult, which is why they are more than welcome to attend other wedding events! Feel free to turn our wedding weekend into a mini family vacation.
WHY ARE YOU GETTING MARRIED ON NYE?
Madi & Trevor met on NYE 2020 and would like to celebrate their marriage by sharing the same anniversary of this very special date. We thank everyone for traveling during the holidays to attend!
IS THERE A REGISTRY?
CAN I GIFT THE COUPLE SOMETHING not on the list?
Yes, please visit the Registry page if you would like to send the couple a gift.
Gifts are not expected but very much appreciated! We know there is a cost to traveling to a wedding, especially during the holidays, so your presence is our present.
While we understand our guests might want to gift the couple something outside of the registry, WE ASK THAT YOU ONYL CHOOSE FROM WHAT IS LISTED. We took a lot of time to curate options of all needs and price points.
If you do not see something you would like to gift the couple, a donation to the Honeymoon Fund is the best option! (We are going to Iceland!!)
I have a question not on this FAQ
We know sometimes things come up! If you have a question about our wedding weekend, please email us and we will do our best to get back to you!

Additionally, it doesn't hurt to check in with other attendees — they might know the answer!
Is Transportation Provided between events?
Transportation is not provided by the couple at this time. however, there is normally an abundance of rideshare options available due to the holiday.
